Sports Performance Training

Elevate your game with our specialized sports performance training. Our programs are designed to help you get your body to perform the way you want it to by enhancing your mobility, strength, speed, power, and overall ability to get your body to perform the way you want it to!

All of our programs include the following:

  • A comprehensive medical history, review of past medical history, and physical examination, including a full-body assessment—range of motion, strength tests, balance and coordination, and any other necessary testing. If you have an injury – old or new – further testing may be recommended like an X-ray or MRI.
  • Movement analysis includes observing movement patterns and sport-specific skills and tasks to identify imbalances, restrictions, or inefficiencies and optimize performance.
  • Baseline assessments of strength, power, and overall mobility provide a starting point and guide for our training progression and help us reach targeted goals. These tests are objective measurements – no “eyeballing” your physical capabilities.
  • Goal setting – this is essential for all effective programs. We will identify your personal goals and pinpoint one or two to focus they program around (i.e., like getting stronger or jumping higher). Your goal will be the focal point of all program design. What you emphasize in training leads to the results you’ll get!
  • Your program will be based on how many days a week you can commit to training, and re-testing will be incorporated to assess your progress and ensure your results!
  • The technique lasts a lifetime, so we will emphasize proper from day 1. We will also emphasize maximum effort to ensure maximum gains. This does NOT mean going to exhaustion, in fact, proper rest and recovery are included in your training program.
  • We will also educate you about injury prevention, proper warm-ups and cools downs.

Training to maximize athletic performance includes:

Strength: Programs building strength reduce the risk of injuries and improve overall physical performance

Speed and Acceleration: Speed is how quickly an athlete covers a distance. Acceleration is how fast an athlete changes speed, direction, or both.

Power: Is the ability to exert force in the shortest period of time and can be improved by increasing force, velocity, or both.

Neuromuscular Training: This type of training focuses on improving proprioception (body awareness) and balance.

Proper Conditioning: A well-rounded program includes cardiovascular and mobility exercises.

We use science-based principles to ensure you achieve your goals. If you’re looking for a clear roadmap to optimize your performance, call or schedule a consultation and get started today!

Strength & Power  Programs

Strength is the ability to produce force to overcome resistance. It is a key component of athletic performance.

Principles of Strength:

To increase strength, you need to do the following:

  • Recruit more motor units
  • Train fast-twitch muscles sooner and more efficiently
  • Increase the frequency of neural impulses to motor neurons
  • Develop more muscle fibers (i.e., hypertrophy – get bigger)

To get strong, you have to train fast and lift heavy!

Power is the combination of speed and force. To increase power, you need to increase velocity, force, or both.

Principles of Power:

  • The key to power is recruiting the maximum motor units
  • Training fast twitch muscles improves strength and velocity
  • When training power, you only have 10 -15 seconds to do the exercise; going longer means you will not be optimizing your power training

Golf-Specific Programs

Specifically designed for golfers, these screenings help optimize your body-swing connection.

Using Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) training and certification techniques to help golfers improve their mobility, strength, clubhead speed & develop power.

TPI screening to identify mobility limitations and weaknesses affecting golf performance.

Individual goals that are sport-specific, performance-related, or both.

Structured training plans focusing on components like:

  • Mobility
  • Strength
  • Power
  • Drills based on golf performance goals

We also incorporate recovery protocols to optimize results and minimize the risk of injury.

1-on-1 or small group programs available!

Sports & Performance Programs

Our programs are designed to empower active individuals and athletes of all levels to unlock their full potential and achieve peak performance.

Baseline testing to determine physical strengths, weaknesses, fitness levels, and specific biomechanical attributes. These help to identify areas that need attention and objectively track progress.

We design structured training plans focusing on components like:

  • Mobility drills and dynamic warm-ups
  • Targeted exercises to enhance performance and minimize injuries, including the following:
    • Strength
    • Power
    • Overall health and fitness
    • Drills based on sports & performance goals
  • We also incorporate recovery protocols to optimize results and minimize injury risk.

Intensity and load management are key components of the training, and workouts will be adjusted according to the individual’s fitness level and response to training.

1-on-1 or small group programs available!
*60-minute follow-up sessions = $150 - available as needed*

Speed and Acceleration Programming

You can’t get fast by going slow!

Speed is how quickly an athlete covers a specific distance.

Acceleration is how fast an athlete changes speed, direction, or both.

Principles of Speed and Acceleration:

  • To increase speed – the rate of force development is more important than absolute strength
  • Develop the rate of force by targeting fast-twitch muscle fibers (Fast twitch = short bursts)
  • Develop the rate of force with sub-max loads
  • It’s better to go too light than too heavy to develop speed
  • The order and duration of your workout matter for optimal results!
Small-group and team training available!

Physical Therapy

Our expert physical therapy services focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal injuries. Using a combination of manual therapy, tailored exercise programs, and the latest physical therapy techniques, we help athletes recover from injuries and improve their overall physical health. Our results-oriented and personalized approach ensures that each treatment plan is optimized for the best possible outcomes.

Virtual Physical Therapy:

Consult with our therapists remotely from the comfort of your own home.

We start with a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation, including movement testing, to identify the nature and severity of injury or pain.

Based on your evaluation we’ll make clearly identify and explain the source of your pain or injury. Next, we’ll provide a detailed treatment plan and recommend further testing as needed.

We’ll provide clear instructions on the steps you need to recover and guidelines to minimize the risk of future injury.

All home exercise programs are unique and tailored specifically to address your needs!

In-Person Physical Therapy:

Our physical therapy evaluation includes a thorough medical history, review of past medical history, and physical examination.

The physical examination starts with a hands-on assessment and movement screen, to identify the nature and severity of injury or pain.

We test your range of motion tests, strength tests, balance and coordination, and any other necessary testing.

Our targeted movement analysis includes observing movement patterns and sport-specific skills and tasks to identify imbalances, restrictions, or inefficiencies limiting your physical performance.

Recommendations and guidance for rehabilitation or further testing as needed.

Clear instructions for the steps you need to take to recover after injury and guidelines to minimize the risk of future injury or pain.

Personalized home exercise program.
